Flooding - Drive with caution

Due to recent weather conditions, flooding is affecting a number of roads across the area. 

Drivers are advised to take extra care and assess road conditions throughout their journey, particularly when travelling through rural areas or during hours of darkness, when flood water may not be easily visible.

Road conditions can change quickly, and flood water may be deeper than it appears or conceal damage to the road surface underneath.

Drivers are reminded not to drive through flood water. If you encounter a flooded road, turn around and find an alternative route.
